Escape to Nature: Mahendra Niwas, Sahrawada
Nestled in the heart of Rajasthan, where once the land bore the harsh scars of Kota stone mining, today flourishes a green haven—thoughtfully envisioned and brought to life by Rawat Mahendra Singh Hada. This land, once depleted and forgotten, has been lovingly revived into a peaceful retreat, blending natural beauty, cultural heritage, and regenerative purpose. In the early 2000s, this land near Mukundra Hills was barren, dry, and lifeless—a scarred remnant of decades of mining. But with patience and purpose, Rawat Mahendra Singh Hada began the painstaking process of rejuvenating the soil, refilling the mined earth, and planting hundreds of native and fruit-bearing trees. By 2008, the land had bloomed into a vibrant landscape—a symbol of renewal, resilience, and a deep connection to nature. At the heart of the property lies a natural lagoon, once a Kota stone mine, now a beautiful and essential rainwater harvesting reservoir. It supports the land during dry seasons and stands as a powerful example of sustainability—turning an industrial wound into a life-giving resource.
